DC Kupwara Reviews Preparations, Stresses on Fair Conduct of JKSSB Accounts Assistant Exam

Kupwara, January 22, 2024: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kupwara district, Ayushi Sudan, today chaired a meeting to review preparations for the upcoming OMR-based written examination for Accounts Assistants (Finance) to be conducted by the J&K Service Selection Board (JKSSB) on January 28th. The meeting was held at the Mini Meeting Hall of the DC Office complex in Kupwara.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Gh Nabi Bhat, briefed the DC about arrangements being made to ensure smooth conduct of the JKSSB exam across 46 centers in Kupwara district. Around 10,341 candidates are expected to appear for the exam.

Key discussion points in the meeting included elaborate security arrangements, logistics for candidate transportation, safekeeping of exam materials, efficient traffic management, clearly defined roles and responsibilities of staff, meticulous arrangements for basic facilities, and pre and post-exam procedures.

Emphasizing that free, fair and transparent exams are the topmost priority, the DC said any laxity in following exam conduct guidelines will be viewed seriously. She stressed that timelines must be strictly adhered to and compliance must be ensured at all levels. Proper frisking of both male and female candidates and their materials before entering exam centers is mandatory, she added.

The DC directed the ARTO Kupwara to ensure proper transportation to designated exam centers and lifting of sensitive materials. The Dy.SP Headquarters Kupwara was asked to provide adequate police deployment for frisking candidates and escorting materials.

Chief Education Officer Kupwara was designated the nodal officer for training invigilators and staff. HOIs were directed to ensure proper heating arrangements at centers.

The meeting was attended by ADC Kupwara Gh. Nabi Bhat, ADC Handwara Nazir Ahmad Mir, SDM Lolab Ijaz Ahmad Bhat, district officers, and tehsildars.
