Investigations revealed that a private individual had conspired with the other accused. An employee of a printing press involved in exam preparations allegedly stole a question paper and provided it to the private person. The accused then solicited candidates and provided them copies of the leaked question paper in exchange for money.

Candidates were allegedly transported in tempo travellers and taxis to Panchkula and provided the leaked question paper ahead of the exam.
