AAI Invites Applications for 30 Apprentice Vacancies at Kolkata Airport

Kolkata, Jan 23: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has released an advertisement for engaging apprentices at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport, Kolkata for the financial year 2023-2024.

Around 30 apprentice positions are available across several engineering and IT departments. This includes 2 vacancies for Graduate Civil apprentices, 2 for Diploma Civil, 2 for Graduate Electrical, 6 for Diploma Electrical, 7 for ITI Electrical Trade, 1 for Graduate Electronics, 2 for Diploma Electronics, 6 for ITI Electronics Trade, and 2 for Graduate IT apprentices.

The selected apprentices will undergo on-the-job training for a period of 1 year. They will receive a monthly stipend in the range of Rs 9,000 to Rs 15,000 based on their qualification.

According to the notification, only Indian nationals domiciled in West Bengal are eligible to apply. The maximum age limit is 26 years as on 31st December 2023. Candidates should have completed their degree/diploma/ITI in 2020 or later.

The selection will be based on percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and medical examination before final appointment.

Interested and eligible candidates need to register themselves on the NATS portal for graduate/diploma apprenticeships and NAPS portal for ITI apprenticeships. The last date to apply online is 5th February 2024.

The apprenticeship program will provide hands-on industry training and practical experience to young talents. AAI has invited applications with the objective of nurturing skilled manpower for the civil aviation sector.
